Great day skiing on buck's run. Skate lane and classic were both fast and nicely done.
Thanks again everyone at Huron Meadows.

Same incredible conditions as yesterday, except the classic track was a little nicer and a little deeper. It was also beautiful weather today get out and enjoy it while we've got it. It will be excellent all day long.

Bucks Run was freshly groomed early this morning and the skating conditions were excellent at about 7:45 am. Fast and controllable. The parking lot was starting to fill when I left about 9:00, so it should be a great day to ski again. Hope that the based on Bucks holds up during this week's warm-up....great job groomers!

Put in 20 laps of classic. Tracks were excellent. Lots of people out. Fun day.
Nice job Huron Meadows.

I agree with Ken, awesome skating at Huron Meadows! But the classic skiers greatly out numbered the skaters - there were dozens!

Incredibly good conditions on Bucks Run for both skating and striding. The classic track was just a bit shallow, but was in excellent position. Whoever did the grooming for today deserves an A plus plus. Don't let the first hundred yards or so fool you. Once you get past that it's excellent

Buck’s Run was very good with no bare spots for skating, classic was fair/good with some icing in the tracks. 20 to 30 people out at 11 am. Fires in the fire pits and wood stove.

Thanks to the groomers.

Skated buck's run. Hard pack and fast. Good tracks all the way around.
Recommend walking out at least half way if you are skiing classic. A lot of ice right by building and to woods. But trail in great shape once you get in woods.

Trails south of Hamelin rd are icy and walked on. The south golf course loop has major issues of too much grass and thin ice. Bucks Run is freshly tilled and groomed, with a pretty decent track set. Pretty good surface, smooth and fast. Nice!

Still skiable! Soft, slow, lots of dirt, use rock skis. But, you can still get in a decent ski, especially if you stick to the shaded areas. Hard wax definitely won't work. Klister, skins, grip tape, would all be good choices.

Started skiing at about 11:00 AM and the temp was 33*. Spoke with the groomer guy. No classic tracks have been set in the past couple of days because he says they need 6" of compacted base and they don't have that. He also said there was a medical problem on the trail yesterday afternoon and an emergency vehicle was driven onto the main trail. This resulted in considerable damage and he was doing his best to repair the trail.
People are walking on the trail leaving deep foot-prints. When will they learn?

By the time we left after lunch it was 41* and with the weather forecast for above freezing temps and some scattered rain we may have seen the last of decent conditions until is snows again.
